The Philippines is one of the world’s largest archipelago nations. It is situated in Southeast Asia in the Western Pacific Ocean. Its islands are classified into three main geographical areas – Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Because of its archipelagic nature, Philippines is a culturally diverse country. With its topography consisting of mountainous terrains, dense forests, plains, and coastal areas, the Philippines is rich in biodiversity. It is considered as one of the mega biodiversity countries in the world with a high percentage of flora and fauna endemism. Despite all of this, there are wide disparities in income and quality of life across regions and sectors in Philippines. The huge number of poverties remain. While the country is having plenty of natural resources, Lack of Education, Drug or Substance Abuse, Crime and Unemployment are the challenges faced by the Philippines. Furthermore, its location on the Pacific Ring of Fire makes Philippines extremely vulnerable to natural disasters, especially earthquakes, cyclones, and volcanic hazards. Long-lasting armed conflict in Mindanao and other parts of the country and the negative impact of increasing effects of climate change hinder sustainable development and intensify poverty. With this, the government have responsibility to provide and protect the individual who cannot provide themselves but that doesn’t mean we can rely to them forever. Us, Filipino should practice to be independent and be resourceful. We also have to sustain ourselves and do the best to survive. Our country is dealing a lot of difficulty and our resources becomes smaller and smaller. Hence having these characteristics, I believe that Philippines could grow more because we are Filipino and we are resilient! And lastly, Let's unite and put each other on the top of succession.

True, the government have responsibility for providing and protecting us but we should also share a sense of responsibility and independence for our needs.
