Say No to Violence!

The Philippines had one of the highest recorded numbers of confirmed Covid-19 cases in Southeast Asia, with 400,000 cases as of mid-November. The Duterte administration’s response to the Covid-19 pandemic has been led by former military officers, using police supported by the military, which has resulted in serious human rights abuses. 

The government declines varying types of quarantines and lockdown to stop the rapid spread of the Virus.  Military as well as the police and officials are assigned to enforce lockdown. Ten thousands of people were arrested and often detained in crowded jails where it can increased the risk of contracting the virus. This Authorities targeted vulnerable population, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people and children, and in some cases using public humiliation and cruel treatment.  The amount of abused was just enough to say that you are lacking in leadership! This news is just so heartbreaking and sad that most of our officials are abusing their authorization. Mr. president, Please do something about this! Give justice for those who were abuse. This action of your subordinate is very disturbing and alarming. So please teach them to have morals. 

I also want to include, the impact of this pandemic drastically changing the lives of people, including the teenagers. A lot of establishment were affected and have closed because of Covid-19 which caused most Filipinos to lose their jobs. Unemployment and lack of Financial made the Filipinos Starve. The help that was given by the Government last only for a few weeks and not enough to sustain the families. I really feel bad for those Filipinos who doesn't have a choice but to beg in the streets for food or money to survive this crisis. Being aware for this kind of situations I cant help but to think that some of this so called "authorities" are not trying their best to help us and their pocketing the money that should be for the country.  It brooked my heart that most of our authorities just watched someone who are starving in death. This just show how poor your leadership is! You should start to take an action for our country not only for your own benefits but for everyone. Its alarming that everyone is starting to doubt your capabilities and that they losing their trust on you to led this country. I just hope that Mr. President will eventually change himself.  To add more, we need leader who can protect and help us, so please act like one! If you want to gain back our respect then do you responsibilities right! Lastly, this should be a lesson for all of us to remember that when we choose a leader, pick someone who is strong but have a good heart.
